Alexa, play Hiding My Heart by Adele
I think this is my favorite film ni Regine.
Side note: aliw na aliw ako nung unang eksena pa lang ni Bentong pati 'yung revelation about his character hahahahaha.

I have so many things against Lito Atienza as Mayor of Manila, but one thing he got right in his urban renewal program was the pedestrianization of downtown Manila. This film uses a lot of shots looking at Liwasang Bonifacio, Manila Post Office, and Quiapo/Ermita/Intramuros/Sta. Cruz. Ganda! I wish more Filipino movies use modern downtown Manila as an actual setting.

I like how the both of them are looking for love. Ung isa hopelessly and the other is helplessly and they found one another in the most unexpected, unusual, but cliché way.

For me, this is the best Regine Velasquez movie, why?
Nah... She's just scared to be hurt, to be lonely, to try. Just like us.
And yung scene between her and her grandparents, sobrang ganda ng linyahan doon.
Malungkot ang buhay.
It is. I love you, Katherine!

loving the trope, loving the plot, loving wednesdays dahil coding salamat mmda!!!! this film got me giggling blushing and kicking my feet in the air. nagustohan ko na sobrang simple at relatable ng mga pangyayari sa pelikula though wala silang maraming batuhan ng lines pero damang-dama ko yung feelings nila to the bones!! the way my heart sank when they started renovating their favorite place tapos niligpit na yung mga old park bench HAAAAAYYYY pero buti na lang may bentong! plot twist talaga yung part ni bentong, eh!

"Wednesday. I love you, Wednesday. I love you, MMDA. Salamat sa color coding."
Not that it matters but I like mentioning how they took the effort of adding the subtitled monologues and a chance of pointing out the importance of adding an area code in the mail.
Regine is such a sweetheart here given her introverted role that she sells very well. While Richard's articulation still have that stiffness that I have an on-and-off quibble with. The conflict could have been carefully rendered with nuance because it is an actual rationalization that a loving person wrestles with. Puffing it quickly for dramatic tones and then resolving itself abruptly kind of ignores Katherine's unyielding disposition established from the start.
It's a…

the best regine v movie of all time. it didn't rely much on popular Filipino tropes and thus built a good plot about a love story against the backdrop of beautiful the manila city. yam laranas, who is credited successfully as a cinematographer captured the essence of the film by making sure his style is perfectly applied in such a mainstream rom-com. thus, no matter how its cinematography is prominently acclaimed, he made sure to not compromise the story and blended all perfect elements to make this the ultimate feel-good Filipino love story.
no stark difference, and social status gap between the two leads (which is something you find frequently in regine's movies). these are two people, both who have…

sa lahat ng movies na pinanood ko ni ate reg these past few weeks, this is by far my favorite and imo, her best movie!
nasanay ako sa cliche plotlines ng movies niya kaya nakakapanibago na sobrang simple lang nito. but it worked so well with how realistic and relatable everything is. just two people finding the right kind of love with each other.
as someone who was once a hopeless romantic with commitment issues na nang ghost, sobrang gets kita katherine!!
